I recently made the mistake of ordering Magic: The Gathering cards from Antoine at printingproxies. What arrived was not just counterfeit — it was some of the lowest quality fake cards I’ve ever seen.
The first thing I noticed was the print quality. The images and text were blurry and grainy, with poor color saturation and bad centering. These cards look nothing like authentic Magic cards. Even from a short distance, the low-resolution printing is obvious.
The texture was equally disappointing. The card stock has a strange, cheap, almost plasticky or waxy feel that immediately feels wrong. There’s no premium finish or proper coating. It feels like low-grade material that was rushed through production.
Shuffling the cards was another red flag. They shuffle like garbage. The cards are stiff, don’t fan or glide smoothly, and feel sticky or rough. Real Magic cards have a very specific feel and shuffle quality — these have none of it.
Not only did I receive counterfeits, but the overall production quality is shockingly bad. This isn’t a minor issue of "proxies." These are poorly made fakes being sold as if they were real.
Strong warning: Stay far away from Antoine at printingproxies. This seller is shipping fake cards with terrible print quality, weird texture, and awful shuffling feel. Whether you’re a serious collector or casual player, you should avoid this seller entirely.
Do not waste your money. There are legitimate sources available. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration.
